A "river" word search using the search form above will provide the most in-depth information:  you can search in the text files of the entire Volume I to find out what is in the plan for that river basin.   An alternative method is to choose from the list of links to figures, tables, text, contents by section and the table of contents in Vol I.   If you don't know what to look for, look up information about surface water resources, the Guadalupe River, the San Antonio River and the Medina River.   Look up the water supply availability and run-of-the-river rights,  keywords index, files guide, user hints and the keyword links below.

Text Box: Surface Water Resources

Wondering about the assumptions of the plan?  The Water Availability Model WAM developed by the TNRCC was used to determine the minimum annual diversion during the drought of record for each permit within the San Antonio and Guadalupe River Basins. The quantities of supply for these permits were placed in the appropriate river basin portion of each county by the permit’s use category.

Text Box: Guadalupe River

The Guadalupe River has been thoroughly scrutinized on account of its dependence on the supply originating in the Edwards Aquifer, during droughts.  The plan includes “regional” re-circulation of the water near the mouth of the river, to be pumped back to the Edwards area.
